چکیده

Climate change has significant effects on societies and ecosystems. Due to the strong link between climate hydrological cycle, water resources is one of most affected fields by change. It great importance investigate streamflows producing future streamflow projections under different scenarios create adaptation measures mitigate potential impacts The Upper Campaspe Catchment (UCC), located at North Central Victoria in Australia, a catchment as it provides large portion total inflow Lake Eppalock Reservoir, which supplies irrigation Irrigation district urban Bendigo, Heathcote, Ballarat cities. In this study, monthly UCC was investigated using high resolution data from CSIRO MIROC models calibrated IHACRES model. model found be very successful simulate UCC. Remarkable reductions were projected based input both (CSIRO MIROC). According optimistic scenario (with highest streamflows) MIROC-RCP4.5 near (2035–2064), River will completely dry out January May. worst lowest projection) CSIRO-RCP8.5 far (2075–2104) showed that produced only for three months (July, August, September) throughout year. Findings study indicated have adverse reservoir inflow, operation, supply, allocation area.

Prediction of Prediction of Climate Change Impacts on Kharkeh Dam Reservoir Inflows with Using of CMIP5-RCP Scenarios

The objective of this research was to investigate the effects of climate change on precipitation and temperature parameters of Karkheh Basin and inflow to Karkheh dam reservoir. This was conducted by applying 21 GCM models under CMIP5 scenarios. The error indices of R2, RMSE and MAE models with the observed precipitation and temperature data were examined to find the appropriate GCM model, MRI-...

Hydrological Impacts of Climate Change on Inflows to Perth, Australia

The effects of climate change due to increasing atmospheric CO2 on the major tributaries to the Swan River (Perth, Western Australia) have been investigated. The climate scenarios are based on results from General Circulation Models (GCMs) and 1000 year time series are produced using a stochastic weather generator. The hydrological implications of these scenarios are then examined using a conce...

Lake Sediment Records on Climate Change and Human Activities in the Xingyun Lake Catchment, SW China

Sediments from Xinyun Lake in central Yunnan, southwest China, provide a record of environmental history since the Holocene. With the application of multi-proxy indicators (total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), δ13C and δ15N isotopes, C/N ratio, grain size, magnetic susceptibility (MS) and CaCO3 content), as well as accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) 14C datings, four major climatic...

Climate Change Impacts on Streamflow Drought: A Case Study in Tseng-Wen Reservoir Catchment in Southern Taiwan

The study aims to assess climate change impacts on streamflow drought in a catchment upstream of Tseng-Wen Reservoir which is the main water supplier in southern Taiwan. A singular-value-decomposition statistical downscaling method and a stochastic weather generator were applied to six different general circulation models for rainfall and temperature downscaling. Two emission climate change sce...

Climate Change Impacts on Water Quality Indices of the Southern Part of Aswan High Dam Reservoir, Lake Nubia

Egypt is one of the most vulnerable countries to the potential impacts and risks of climate change. More than 95 % of the water budget of Egypt is received from the River Nile, which is very sensitive to temperature and precipitation changes. Aswan High Dam (AHD) reservoir, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world, is almost the sole source of freshwater to the country; hence, Egypt reali...
